Eye tests are always needed before eye surgery and before getting contact lenses, but actually it is recommended for everybody to take eye tests regularly. It helps to notice any changes on your sight as soon as possible, so that early treatment may prevent your sight from getting worse.

People who use contact lenses, need to have them regularly checked and should also make eye tests periodically. Usually a full eye test takes about 30 minutes.

What do you have to remember when going for your eye test? Always remember to take with you every pair of glasses that you use, the names of the medicines if you use any and of course the name and the phone number of your doctor.

In the beginning of the eye test inform the doctor, what is the reason of your visit- is it routine eye test or do you have any specific problems with your sight.

Eye test usually starts with reading letters or numbers on a chart. After that, an eye doctor will check your outer and inner sight with showing light into your eyes.
